Le Olimpiadi passano alla storia soprattutto per i valori aggiunti di tipo culturale che hanno saputo portare oltre a quelli sportivi. E così “Berlino 1936” sarà ricordata per la prima sconfitta del Nazismo fatta registrare proprio ad opera di quei “negri” considerati razza inferiore (vedi) e che mettono in imbarazzo un regime folle e sanguinario (vedi) Da notare nel primo filmato la modernità “televisiva” delle riprese.
Ma sarà, per sempre, “Roma 1960” la prima Olimpiade entrata nell’era televisiva: semplicemente avveniristica, ad esempio, la ripresa in diretta TV della Rai della Maratona vinta da Abebe Bikila a piedi nudi e alla luce delle fiaccole tra i ruderi di Roma Imperiale (vedi, vedi, vedi).
Altrettanto importante il tema dell’ingresso dei diritti civili nello sport a “Messico 68”, soprattutto ad opera dei tre vincitori delle medaglie per i 200 metri piani. Tommie Smith, oro, e John Carlos, bronzo, decidono di salire sul podio a piedi nudi (simbolo della povertà dei neri americani), con il pugno chiuso guantato di nero (simbolo della volontà di riscatto) e a testa china (simbolo della vessazione politica e sociale in atto negli Usa e nel mondo). La medaglia d’argento australiana Peter Norman (cosa che non tutti sanno) non lascia i due atleti americani soli e si associa alla protesta politica dei due americani (vedi). Sarà l’ultima medaglia che i tre atleti vinceranno nella loro carriera sportiva che finisce su quel podio e l’inizio di una comunanza di vita (ben di più di un’amicizia) che resiste ancora oggi, persino dopo la morte per cancro dell’atleta australiano nel 2006 (vedi scorrere le foto fino ai funerali dell’atleta australiano).
“Monaco 1972” segnerà invece l’ingresso delle tensioni politiche internazionali, della “Questione mediorientale israeliano-palestinese” e del terrorismo nella più importante manifestazione sportiva: un commando palestinese entra nel villaggio olimpico, uccide due atleti israeliani e ne rapisce altri nove; alla fine della vicenda, tra fallimentari operazioni di polizia e dei servizi segreti rimangono uccisi in totale 17 uomini (vedi)…
Le ultime Olimpiadi alle quali in queste ore fanno seguito le Paralimpiadi passeranno probabilmente alla storia per l’interesse suscitato nel mondo della scienza e della tecnologia: ai nostri contributi già in Rete (per scaricarli digitare in nello spazio di ricerca di questo Portale le parole “Londra 2012”) aggiungiamo questo speciale di Nature: Speciale di Nature

Les Jeux olympiques entrent dans l’histoire en particulier pour la valeur ajoutée d’ordre culturel qu’ils ont été en mesure de reporter au sport. Et donc, pour « Berlin 1936 » On se souviendra de la première défaite du nazisme portée par ces « noirs » considérés race inférieure (voir) et capable d’embarrasser un régime fou et meurtrier (voir). A noter dans le premier film la modernité du tournage.
Mais ça sera toujours « Rome 1960 » les premiers Jeux Olympiques entrés dans l’ère de la télévision : tout simplement futuriste, par exemple, le tournage en direct à la télévision Rai de la Marathon gagné par Abebe Bikila à pieds nus et à la lumière des torches dans les ruines de la Rome impériale (voir, voir, voir).
Tout aussi importante est l’entrée des droits civils dans le sport à « Mexico 68 », en particulier par les trois vainqueurs pour les 200 mètres. Tommie Smith, de l’or, et John Carlos, médaille de bronze, montent à pieds nus sur le podium (symbole de la pauvreté des Noirs américains), avec un poing ganté de noir (symbole de la volonté de la rédemption) et la tête en bas (un symbole de le harcèlement politique et sociale aux Etats-Unis et dans le monde). La médaille d’argent Australienne Peter Norman (ce que pas tout le monde sait) ne laisse pas seuls les deux athlètes américains, et s’associe à la contestation politique de deux Américains (voir). Sera la dernière médaille que les trois athlètes gagnent dans leur carrière sportive qui se termine sur ce podium là et le début d’une vie partagée (bien plus que de l’amitié) qui existe encore aujourd’hui, même après le décès par cancer de l’athlète australien en 2006 (voir défiler les photos jusqu’aux funérailles de l’athlète australien).
« Monaco 1972 » par contre marquera l’entrée des tensions politiques internationales, de la « question du Moyen-Orient israélo-palestinien » et du terrorisme dans le plus important événement sportif : un commando palestinien entre dans le village olympique, tue deux athlètes israéliens et kidnappe neuf autres ; à la fin de l’histoire, après des opérations de police et des services secrets échouées sont tués un total de 17 hommes (voir)…

The Olympics go down in history especially for their cultural values that led beyond sports ones. “Berlin 1936” will be remembered as the first Nazi defeat due to those “niggers” considered as an inferior race (see: vedi) causing embarrassment to a crazy and bloody regime (see: vedi).
The “television” modernity of the first video is notable.
Nevertheless, “Rome 1960” will be considered the first Olympics of the TV age. The Marathon broadcast live by Rai TV and won by barefoot Abebe Bikila under the torchlights of Imperial Rome ruins (see: vedi , see: vedi , see: vedi) has been simply futuristic. “Mexico 68” has stated the entry of civil rights into sport especially thanks to the three medallists for the two hundreds metres sprint. Tommie Smith, gold medal, and John Carlos, bronze medal, decided to step up barefoot to the podium (as a symbol of the poverty of the American black people), with their fist in a black glove (as a symbol of the will of redemption) and with their head bowed (as a symbol of the political and social oppression in the US and worldwide). Australian Peter Norman, silver medal, did not leave the two American athletes alone and, little known, shared their political protest (see: vedi). It would have been the last medal won by the three athletes in their career that ended on that podium and the beginning of a community of life (more than just a friendship) still enduring even after Peter Norman death for cancer in 2006 (see the gallery until the athlete burial images: vedi).
“Munich 1972” has represented the entry of the International political strain, of the “Middle-East Israeli-Palestinian issue” and of terrorism into the most important sport event when a Palestinian commando went into the Olympic village, kills two Israeli athletes and kidnap nine of them. At the end of the affair, seventeen people are killed between disastrous police and intelligence operations (see: vedi)…
